The premise

Pavers do not sink because of the pavers.

Almost every failed driveway we get called out to look at failed the same way: the base was too shallow, it went in wet, or it was never compacted in lifts. The pavers on top were usually fine. They just had nothing underneath them to sit on.

So that is where the work goes on our jobs. Dug to depth, base compacted in lifts, graded to drain away from the house, edges restrained on every open side, joints locked with polymeric sand. It is the part you will never see again — and it is the only reason the part you do see stays flat.

Scope

What we install.

Pavers are the core of it — driveways, patios, pool decks, walkways and sealing. Inside, the same crew lays tile, backsplash, vinyl and laminate flooring, and takes bathrooms and kitchens down to the studs. Demolition on either side of the door.

How a job runs

Four stages. No surprises between them.

  1. Walkthrough and estimate

    We measure the area, look at how the ground drains today and where the water ends up, and price the actual scope — not a range over the phone. You get it in writing, itemised.

  2. Demolition and base

    Old surface out and hauled off, dug to depth, base compacted in lifts and graded to drain away from the house. Interior work gets the same discipline: the subfloor is levelled and checked before anything is set.

  3. Laying

    Pattern set out from a line and walked with you before we commit. Cuts made on site, edge restraint on every open side, borders laid first so the field reads straight.

  4. Joints, sealing and cleanup

    Polymeric sand swept in, plate compacted, and sealed once the surface has cured. The site leaves swept and the debris goes with us the same day.

The standard

The things we will not cut.

None of this is remarkable. It is simply what the work requires, and almost every hardscape complaint you will read online comes from one of the six below being skipped to win a price.

  • Licensed and insured

    Certificates of insurance go to you before the first day, not after you think to ask for them.

  • Base dug to depth

    The single thing cheaper quotes are cheaper for. Ours goes in compacted in lifts, and we will show it to you before it disappears under the sand.

  • Fixed written price

    Itemised, with the square footage and the material stated, so you can compare it against anyone else line by line.

  • Changes priced first

    Nothing gets built off a verbal. If the scope moves, it is written and priced before a tool comes back out.

  • Clean site, every day

    Debris hauled the same day, the drive swept, and nothing left on the grass overnight.

  • Warranty in writing

    A written workmanship warranty on the install, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the material transferred to you.

Before you call

Questions we get asked first.

Most residential driveways run three to five working days once we break ground — longer if there is concrete to demolish and haul, or if the area is large enough to need staging. Sealing happens after the surface has cured, so that is usually a separate return visit.
